Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter chips

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with paper liners

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt

In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined

Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay

Fold in the chocolate chips

Fill each muffin cup about halfway with the batter

Drop small spoonfuls of peanut butter onto the batter in each cup

Use a toothpick or a knife to swirl the peanut butter into the batter for a marbled effect

Sprinkle peanut butter chips on top of each muffin

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean

Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Enjoy your delicious Peanut Butter Swirl Chocolate Muffins
