Homemade Vanilla Bean Coffee Creamer
Make your coffee extra special with this homemade vanilla bean coffee creamer. The real vanilla bean adds a delightful depth of flavor, making your morning brew a treat.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of half-and-half
- 1 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped out
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine the half-and-half and the scraped vanilla bean seeds
Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until its hot but not boiling
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it steep for about 10 minutes to infuse the vanilla flavor
Strain the mixture to remove the vanilla bean and any clumps
Return the strained mixture to the saucepan and add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract
Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is fully dissolved and the creamer is smooth
Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature
Transfer the homemade vanilla bean coffee creamer to a clean bottle or jar and refrigerate
Shake well before each use and enjoy in your coffee
